Different Solar Pumps Technologies
Pumping theory is reasonably straight forward, but you can have different technologies in term of solar water pumps. You can have a Submersible (a) or Surface Pump (b) Technology which is shown in the two diagrams below.
Depends on technology chosen, we can define the total pressure the pump is required to produce – to get the water to the surface and then to its destination.
The presumption is that pumping / water requirements can be done in daylight hours only and no need for generator back-up or battery storage – but that can also be an option to add battery storage for evening hours.
